TMS Interviews with Brian Kingsland – Nile
When Nile announced Brian Kingsland as the newest addition to the band, I was stoked. Being a big fan of his other band Enthean, my first thought was, “What a perfect fit!” My second thought was, “Don’t they kick off their tour tonight?”
The media and fans went crazy over the sudden news of shift in members, some assuming this happened over night; while others were quick to say this wasn’t a good move on behalf of the band. Let me tell you this – I caught Nile last year on their headlining tour, of course they were amazing; however there was a renewed energy in the band on this tour that I would call nothing short of electrifying. Brian took the stage in professional fashion and absolutely annihilated the crowd with his shreddy guitar style, ferocious vocals, and his genuine affection for the fans that came out on a Sunday night. As for the rest of Nile, well it looked to me like they were having a blast with their new brother in metal.
I had the chance to kick back and ask Mr. Kingsland a few questions prior to the start of the show when they made their way to Mesa, Arizona. He tells us about how the opportunity to play for the legendary band came to be, the differences between touring in a van and a bus, playing huge stages such as The Grove of Anaheim, and a bit about what’s going on with his other band Enthean.
